SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY

Individual communication therapy for adults

I provide a service to adults who have difficulties with:

- voice (changes in the sound of your vocal quality, pitch or volume)

- speech (articulating words and sounds)

- language (finding the right words to use, putting them in order, understanding)

- more general issues around communication (eg. stammering).

I offer an initial assessment with advice and a written report. If treatment is the way forward, an agreed number of sessions is booked and followed at a later date by a review appointment.

Therapy is usually effective but cannot be guaranteed.

Location

I am based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and am available to come to your home for sessions within a 20 mile radius of St Albans.

Code of Ethics/Confidentiality

I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Langauge Therapists, the Health Professions Council and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.

I have practised for 19 years and worked with many problems of communication in a variety of settings.

Cost

My fees for April 2010 to March 2011 are as follows:

- initial session with report to your GP and copied to you:   £110

- treatment/review sessions (up to 1 hour):                          £65
